Mrs. Harriet W. Williams received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University in 1979. She then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law in 1988.
   
Since 2005, Harriet Williams has practiced in the areas of Civil Litigation, Collections and Family Law. She manages collection efforts on behalf of banking and corporate clients, including all litigation of claims, pre-judgment actions, discovery matters in foreclosure actions, promissory notes and loan defaults. Mrs. Williams also represents clients in pre and post judgment remedies, including but not limited to, bankruptcy, writs and garnishment proceedings. She has also represented clients in civil matters ranging from  slander and defamation cases, breach of contract, state and Federal regulatory violations, unlawful terminations, unemployment compensation claims, and administrative proceedings related  to State and Federal civil rights violations. In the area of Family Law, Mrs. Williams represents clients in the drafting of  wills, probate estate matters, codicils to wills, custody disputes, dissolution of Marriage, child support enforcement and establishment, parenting plans and  modifications of Judgments. She also Drafts and prepare Employee Manuals for corporate clients and assist with the implementation of employee management procedures in the Firm.
   
From July 1999 through June 2005, Mrs. Williams served in the capacity of a Judicial Hearing Officer/General Master in the Second Judicial Circuit, where she conducted hearings presented by the Office of the Attorney General to establish, modify and enforce child support obligations and establish paternity if contested.  She also conducted hearings and trials in the areas of Family Law, Child Support, Dependency and CINS/FINS cases. Mrs. Williams also developed the protocol for Dependency/Delinquency cross –over cases in Circuit Civil while she maintained an overall a caseload of approximately 400 cases. Additionally, Ms. Williams held Motion calendar hearings and other Civil pre-trial matters as referred related to discovery disputes and evidentiary hearings for Pre-Trial .
   
Mrs. Williams was appointed as a Partner at Henry, Buchanan, Hudson, Suber & Williams, P.A. from 1995 to 1999 after working for five years as an associate. There, she served as an Assistant City Attorney, working directly in the areas of employment matters including discrimination and disparate impact cases, ordinances review, implementation and enforcement, sexual harassment and diversity training, Code Enforcement, Community Development Grant and Fair Housing Initiatives and general consultation for operational issues with Department Heads.
   
An active Speaker and servant to the community, Mrs. Williams has been honored with numerous recognitions for extraordinary service within the Tallahassee Community and is a member of a number of National, State, and Local bar memberships including the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association.
   
Ms. Williams currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida, with her husband Thornton.
